Who We Are
OrbitsWell makes private, local-first reflection apps for iPhone: Orbit Haven (planning and reflecting on hard plans), Orbit Reflect (journaling, feelings, and goals), and Orbit Boundaries (mapping relationships and noticing boundary patterns). This policy covers all three apps and this website. Orbit Haven also publishes its own app-specific policy at orbitswell.com/orbit-haven/privacy; where the two differ for Orbit Haven, the app-specific policy applies.
Information You Enter
Depending on the app, you may enter plans, reflections, journal entries, feelings, goals, tags, relationship names, orbit placements, interaction logs, notes, preferences, photos you add, audio you record, and export files you create. This information is stored on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Local-First Storage
OrbitsWell apps store app data locally using Apple's on-device storage technologies. OrbitsWell does not run an app-owned backend that receives your records, and we do not have a cloud dashboard where we can read your app data.
Security
Your device security settings help protect app data. Some sensitive attachments may use additional app-level encryption where an app offers it. No storage or encryption system can be guaranteed to be perfect, so you should only export or share information with people and services you trust.
Apple Services
If you make an in-app purchase or restore purchases in any OrbitsWell app, Apple processes the transaction. Apple may provide the app with the transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Optional AI in Orbit Reflect
Orbit Reflect offers optional AI features that are off by default and require you to add your own AI provider key. When you use them, the text you submit is sent from your device directly to the provider you configured, under that provider's terms and privacy policy. OrbitsWell does not operate the provider and does not receive that content.
Apple Health
Apple Health correlation is not part of any current release. If a future version enables Apple Health features, access will be optional and user-initiated. Raw Apple Health samples would be read on device, and derived correlation summaries may be stored locally. This policy should be updated before any Health feature ships publicly.
Exports and Sharing
You may choose to export data from an app. Exported files can leave your device if you share them through AirDrop, email, Files, messaging apps, cloud drives, or other services. Anyone who receives an export file and any required code or password may be able to open it.
Support
If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, device model, screenshots, or a description of the problem. Please do not send sensitive personal or relationship details unless you intentionally choose to include them.
Analytics and Tracking
The website and apps do not use third-party advertising trackers. OrbitsWell does not sell personal information. If analytics are added later, this policy should be updated to describe them.
Children
OrbitsWell apps are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Deleting Data
You can delete app data through each app's controls or by deleting the app from your device. Data you have already exported or shared must be deleted wherever you stored or sent it.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy as the apps change. The effective date at the top of this page will change when the policy is updated.
