Who We Are
Orbit Haven is an app from OrbitsWell. The app helps adults prepare for plans they might cancel, use discreet support during an event, and reflect afterward.
Information You Enter
The app may store event names, dates, durations, dread levels, small goals, tiny plans, notes, reflections, tool usage history, optional SafeHaven entries, short AI-written summaries of your Pocket Pal coaching sessions (if you use that feature), reminder settings, app icon preferences, and privacy-lock settings.
Local-First Storage
Orbit Haven stores app data locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage technologies. OrbitsWell does not run an app-owned backend that receives your event records, and we do not have a cloud dashboard where we can read your app data.
AI Assist and Pocket Pal Session Summaries
Orbit Haven includes optional AI features (AI Assist, including Pocket Pal coaching) that use an API key you provide. They are off until you add a key. When you use them, the text you submit, such as what you type in a coaching session plus limited context, is sent over HTTPS to the AI provider (currently OpenAI) to generate a reply. OrbitsWell does not receive a copy of that request or response.
When a Pocket Pal coaching session ends, Orbit Haven asks the AI provider to write a short, non-clinical summary of that session, for example what you were working on and the small step you took. That summary is stored locally on your device, is included in any summary or data export you choose to create or share (such as one you decide to give a therapist, coach, or trusted person), and is removed when you delete your data. The conversation itself is not stored; only the short summary is. Sessions where possible crisis language is detected are not summarized. These summaries are AI-generated, may be imperfect, and are not a clinical record, assessment, or diagnosis.
Notifications
Orbit Haven schedules local notifications on your device. These reminders are delivered by iOS and do not pass through an OrbitsWell server. Event details are hidden in notification previews by default; if you turn that setting off, notification text may include the event name so the reminder is easier to recognize.
Purchases
If you purchase Orbit Haven Plus or restore purchases, Apple processes the transaction. Apple may provide Orbit Haven with transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Exports and Sharing
You may choose to export data from the app. Exported files can leave your device if you share them through AirDrop, email, Files, messaging apps, cloud drives, or other services. Anyone who receives an exported file may be able to read its contents.
Support
If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, iOS version, device model, screenshots, or a description of the problem. Please avoid sending sensitive event details unless you intentionally choose to include them.
Analytics and Tracking
Orbit Haven does not include third-party advertising trackers, session replay, or behavioral analytics SDKs in the initial release. We do not sell personal information.
Children
Orbit Haven is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Deleting Data
You can delete app data through app controls or by deleting the app from your device. Data you have already exported or shared must be deleted wherever you stored or sent it.
What Orbit Haven Is Not
Orbit Haven is a self-guided planning and reflection tool. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for a licensed professional. It does not monitor for crisis language and cannot detect emergencies.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will change when the policy is updated.
